Nikoi is a member of The Long Run.

We’re really proud to share that Ubah Rumah has been invited to exhibit at the Affordable Art Fair Singapore - the first time work from the programme will be showcased on an international stage. It’s a huge moment for us and one that feels especially meaningful given how deeply this residency has become part of life on Nikoi.
Our exhibition at the fair brings together work from seven former artists-in-residence, capturing their reflections on place, identity, and community. Four of these artists - Ricky Yeo, Ireen Tan, Florence Cinco and Wendy Zhang - will also be there in person, running workshops, meeting visitors, and sharing the ideas and materials that shaped their work.

ABOUT UBAH RUMAH
Co-founded by Ernest Goh and Alecia Neo, the inaugural winner of the Affordable Art Fair’s Young Talent Programme (2012–2019), Ubah Rumah has welcomed 25 artists and researchers from across Southeast Asia since its launch in 2022. Together, they’ve left behind paintings, sculptures, and installations that have become part of the island’s story. We’ve watched guests, staff, and artists connect through these residencies in ways we could never have imagined, and we can’t wait to share that with a wider audience at the fair.
The fair also marks an exciting next step - one artist will be selected for a solo show at Blueprint Art Space in 2026, offering a new platform to grow their practice. Visitors to the fair will help choose who that artist will be, and everyone who votes will also stand a chance to win a three-night stay on Nikoi.
