Tangmo and Mahon's Reflections on their Ubah Rumah Residency
Tangmo and Mahom's artist residency on Nikoi, Cempedak and Bintan, where natural materials were transformed into watercolours, oil paints and chalks. Through shoreline walks, pigment experiments and shared workshops, the artists explored how each island’s geology shaped colour, process and meaning. The post reflects on making art from the land itself, and how slow exploration, collaboration and conversation became central to the creative work.
